The New Zealand Climate Science Coalition are concerned at the misleading information being disseminated about climate change and so-called anthropogenic (man-made) global warming.
The group is led by accredited New Zealand experts in climate and disciplines related to climate change, and includes others with a range of professional qualifications.
The Coalition has been quoted:
"WHY NZers SHOULD LIST VOTE ACT PARTY With a general election looming in New Zealand, and the axis of Labour, Greens and NZ First forcing passage in Parliament of an ill-considered and costly Emissions Trading Scheme Bill, Act Party leader Rodney Hide, the only MP with qualifications in Environmental Science, has come out in forceful opposition. A party list vote for Act is currently the only way to ensure that the new Parliament reconsiders this legislation which is not only not a solution, but concerns a problem that probably does not even exist..."
